Ignacio C. Navarro, 60 of Las Cruces, New Mexico died Sunday, January 11, 2009 at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Ignacio C. Navarro, 60 of Las Cruces, New Mexico died Sunday, January 11, 2009 at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. "Nacho" as he was fondly known was born April 29, 1948 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Ricardo and Marie Navarro. He served his country honorably in the US Army and the National Guard. Nacho loved the outdoors and riding his motorcycle. He was also a member of the Catholic Church. He is survived by his son, Charles Navarro of Las Cruces, NM; three daughters, Angela Ledbetter, Melissa Navarro and Melanie Navarro all of Albuquerque, NM , NM; seven brothers, Henry, Mike, Danny, Trini, Isidro, Raymond, and Jimmy Navarro; one sister, Sally Navarro and seven grandchildren; Alex Navarro, Mercedes Navarro, Austin Navarro, Rider Ledbetter, Damon Cotto, Aaliyah Cotto, Brooklyn Cotto, and Israel Arena. His parents, Ricardo and Marie and one brother Joe Navarro preceded him in death. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel where the Prayer Vigil led by his brother Jimmy Navarro will follow at 7 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 am on Friday, January 16, 2009 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina, with Fr. Sean Garrity, officiating. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with full military honors.
