Mary Elizabeth Burguete passed away in Las Cruces, New Mexico on August 13, 2016 at the age of 55. She was born to Daniel and Ruth Burguete on October 16, 1960. They soon realized they had been blessed with a very special child. In a time when those with special needs were often institutionalized, they took her home and loved her just as they did their other children. She lived a rich, full life. She attended Vaughn Elementary School, participated in Special Olympics and took many vacations with her family. In her last years she lived at Haciendas at Grace Village in Las Cruces where she added to her loving family and friends. She loved music, dancing, television and her niece, nephews, great nieces and great nephew. She was their "best buddy" and relished the role. She is survived by her sister Jean Clark and her husband Tersh, her sister Ann and her husband Ron, her sister Sharon and her brother Daniel and his wife Marie, along with eight nephews, one niece, three great-nieces and a great-nephew. She is preceded in death by her parents, many uncles and aunts and a nephew. A rosary followed by a funeral mass, burial and gathering is schedule for August 25th at 10:30 at St. Mary's Parish in Vaughn, NM. Father Chris Bernabe will officiate the ceremony.
