God made Ingrid Hulsey an angel on March 19, 2005 at the Memorial Medical Center. She was born Dec. 22, 1933 in Muerau, Czech Republic to Karl and Olga Goetzel. Ingrid had a full and happy life. She met her husband, 1st Lt. William F. Hulsey Sr. while he was stationed at Fort Irwin, CA. She passionately devoted her life to her husband and children. Ingrid endeared many friends with her open, giving and trusting fellowship. She embraced all of nature with her loving care of the fauna and flora surrounding her desert home that she built in the Talevera subdivision of Las Cruces in 1998. She will be painfully missed as the true matriarch of the Hulsey family. Ingrid is survived by her husband Bill of the family home; children Peter and Evangelina Hulsey of New Mexico, Kim and Elliott Benson of Michigan and William Jr. and Donna Hulsey of Texas. Her grandchildren Bjorn, Bryce and Lindsay Benson, Andrea, Katarina and Gina Hulsey and William Hulsey III. She is also survived by her sister Traudl Green of Las Cruces; her nephews and nieces Mark and Diane Green of California and Corrine and Craig Madsen of North Carolina and Peter Pospisil among her other relatives in the Czech Republic. A public celebration of her life will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home with Priest Wolf of New Apostolic Church officiating.
