In loving memory of Irma Grace Uribe who passed away on November 15, 2023. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of an amazing daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and friend.

Irma was born on April 19th, 1957, in Silver City, NM to her parents Arturo H. Padilla and Elvira M. Padilla. She attended and graduated from Mayfield High School.

Irma loved the outdoors. Her hobbies included camping, hunting, and fishing, including her deep-sea fishing catch of a large blue marlin. She loved dancing and singing as well.

Irma was in her early 20s when she moved to Fullerton, CA, where she met the love of her life Teno Uribe, JR. She mentioned that at first, they didn’t admit they cared for each other, but it was after their first kiss that they knew their love would grow strong, and they would share 34 years of a loving marriage. Although they never had children, Irma loved her nieces, nephews, family, and friends’ children as if they were her own. She had the biggest loving heart.

Irma, for over 25 years, worked hard as a foreman for a manufacturing company that included hot melting Styrofoam. She handled heavy equipment as well as driving the forklifts and making sure everyone’s safety was priority. She was very strict but only because she meant business when it came to hard work. It was a sad day when the company announced they had to downsize and, eventually, close. Irma worried but thereafter, she thanked the Lord when a job was offered to her as the manager of her own apartment complex. There again, putting her hard work first.

It was in the fall of 2021 when Irma noticed that her health was spiraling down and she began to fight back diabetes, though it eventually progressed slowly to the stages of no turning back.

On November 15th, 2023, the skies of Heaven opened up, as it was a rainy day in the state we call “Sunny” California. It rained all morning as we felt in our hearts that she was on her journey to Heaven.

Irma is survived by her loving husband, Teno Uribe, JR., her sisters, Velma Padilla and her son, Arturo Bustillos, of Santa Ana, CA, Olga Pina, husband Danny Pina and their daughter, Savannah, of Las Cruces NM, her brother, Tacho Padilla, his wife Sabrina, his children, Irma’s goddaughter, Shauntell, Felicia (Roland), and Arturo (Davina), and her sister’s daughters, Lisa Zavala, Luana Hernandez (Gavino), Brandy Zuniga and Erika Zuniga, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, sister Rosemary Samayoa, niece and goddaughter, Nicole Zavala, compadre Robert Zavala, and father-in-law, Teno Uribe, SR.
