Isabel Costales Gonzales, 83, of Las Cruces, NM died Friday May 13, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born June 2, 1921 in Rincon, NM to Francisco and Tomasita Costales. Isabel worked for Avon for over 35 years, where she was awarded numerous President Club Awards, however her greatest joy came from all the many friends she made while selling Avon. Isabel Costales Gonzales, 83, of Las Cruces, NM died Friday May 13, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born June 2, 1921 in Rincon, NM to Francisco and Tomasita Costales. Isabel worked for Avon for over 35 years, where she was awarded numerous President Club Awards, however her greatest joy came from all the many friends she made while selling Avon. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved to dance and sing, cook, sew and had a green thumb. She will truly be missed by all her family and friends. Isabel is survived by two sons, Richard R. Gonzales of Las Cruces, NM and Philip M. Gonzales of Phoenix, AZ. One daughter, Norma G. Avalos and husband Michael of Las Cruces, NM. One brother, Pilar Costales and wife Mamie of Albuquerque, NM. One sister, Mary Apodaca and husband Rudy of Las Cruces, NM. Two grandchildren, Michael Thomas Avalos and Steven Eric Avalos and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Elias Luchini Gonzales, two brothers, Francisco Costales and Daniel Costales, and a sister, Jenny Martinez. A visitation will be held from 5 to7 PM on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home where the prayer vigil will follow at 7 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral with Rev. Robert Power, officiating. The Rite of Committal will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving, as pallbearers will be David Placencio, Hector Sanchez Jr., Rudy Apodaca, Jay Eul, David Lara, and Alex Martinez.
