Isabel S. Ledesma, 79, of Las Cruces, died Friday, October 31, 2008 at home surrounded by her family. Isabel was born on November 1, 1928 in Rincon, NM to Pablo and Emilia Sedillo. Isabel S. Ledesma, 79, of Las Cruces, died Friday, October 31, 2008 at home surrounded by her family. Isabel was born on November 1, 1928 in Rincon, NM to Pablo and Emilia Sedillo. Isabel is survived by her daughter Barbara Padilla: and sons Modesto S. Ledesma Jr. and wife Norma; Ron Ledesma and wife Kathy all of Las Cruces, NM; sisters Angie Alderete and husband Esau, Gregoria Gomez and husband Louie; and brother Ted Sedillo and wife Maria all of Las Cruces. Sister-in- law, Rosie Sedillo of El Paso and Olga Sedillo of Santa Maria, Ca. Also surviving her are six grandchildren David Padilla, Georgia Tomada and husband Mark, Sandra Padilla, Gayle Martinez and husband Jacob, Geanna Ledesma and Kayla Ledesma. Two great-granddaughters, Reiny Padilla and Paytyn Martinez. And many nieces and nephews who knew her by "Gram" and "Auntie Bell" She is preceded in death by her husband Modesto A. Ledesma and brothers John, Pete, Juan Pablo, Jose Miguel, and Antonio Sedillo. She will be fondly remembered working in her garden expressing her love for flowers. She will be greatly missed but we send her home with happy hearts and many memories of her kindness and love for her church. Visitation for Isabel will be on Monday, November 3, 2008, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Getz Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will follow on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 10:00 am at El Calvario United Methodist Church, 300 N. Campo, with the Rev. Samuel Blanco, officiating. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery. The family would express their thanks to Memorial Medical Center, Mesilla Valley Hospice, and Casa De Sol Care Center. PDF Printable Version
