Isabel loved spending time with her grandchildren watching the Lakers play Basketball, going fishing and attending church functions. Isabel Sosa, 74 of Carlsbad, NM died Thursday November 11, 2010 with her loving family by her side. She was born June 17, 1936 to Vicente and Fransisca Cadena in Mesilla, NM. Isabel loved spending time with her grandchildren watching the Lakers play Basketball, going fishing and attending church functions. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who love her. She is survived by her husband, Robert Sosa of Carlsbad, NM, daughters, Barbara and husband Johnny Rios-Hill, Christina Rios, Mary Helen and husband Dennis Jackson and Stephanie Rios all of Las Cruces, NM, sons Steven and Patrick Diaz, Brothers, Mike, Manuel, Rudy and Robert Cadena, sisters, Geneva Lucero, Gloria and Mary Lou Cadena, Josie Guzman and Terri Evaro, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Isabel was preceded by her parents, daughter, Beatrice Rios, sister Yolanda Cadena and brother Vicente Cadena. A visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Tuesday November 16, 2010 with a prayer vigil to follow at 7 pm at Getz Funeral home Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10 am on Wednesday November 17, 2010 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor, Rodolfo Gonzalez of Centro Cristiano Jireh in Carlsbad, NM.
