Isabel Valles Uribe obituary 09/27/1912-01/29/2018 105 years old beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday January 29, 2018. She was the eighth of 16 children born to Jose and Tomasita Valles on September 27, 1912. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Concepcion Uribe and son Renato. Chavelita as she was fondly known is survived by her son Homero and his wife Alicia and her daughter Flavia Pavia and husband Robert, and a brother Cleto Valles. Her Grandchildren Terri Pavia Medina (Henry), Fred Pavia(Margie), Dominic Pavia(Kim), Karen Pavia Solis(Jose), Amanda Aguirre(Vince), Rudy Uribe(Luz), Javier Uribe(Veronica), Rogelio Uribe, John Uribe(Lisa), Nora Oliver(Eben), Rene Jamis(Reyna), Nikki Charles, Daniel Uribe(Maria), and Jacob Uribe. She is survived by 23 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren and hundred of nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. Together with her husband, they owned and operated Concho's Merchantile, a very successful business until they closed it and retired in 1972 to Mesilla Park. Isabel lead a rich and rewarding life, she spoke with wisdom followed by acts of kindness. Her devotion to family and to her Catholic faith were the guiding light of her life. Crocheting, cooking and baking delicious cookies were her favorite pastimes. Chavelita was our angel on earth, always praying for and with all who called upon her. Her spirits endure. Serving as pallbearers are Josh and Dustin Medina, Rudy and Javier Uribe, Vincent Pavia, Jose Solis Jr., Honorary pall bearers Raul Uribe, Alejo Lozano, the Valles family, Henry Medina, Jose Solis Sr., John Uribe, Rene Jamis, Phil Yost, Rogelio Uribe, Juan Carlos Solis and Manuel Martinez. Services for Isabel Valles will be held on February 6th, 2018 at San Miguel Church, located at 19217 NM-28, La Mesa, NM 88044. A Public Visitation will start at 9:30 am. The rosary will begin at 10:00 am. followed by Funeral mass. Burial will take place at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Getz Funeral Home 1410 E. Bowman Ave., Las Cruces NM 88001.
