Ivan Lee Stadjuhar, 79, of Las Cruces, NM died Monday, September 24, 2013 at Mesilla Valley Hospice La Posada. He was born on September 24, 1934 to John and Agnes Stadjuhar in Pueblo, CO. Ivan Lee Stadjuhar, 79, of Las Cruces, NM died Monday, September 24, 2013 at Mesilla Valley Hospice La Posada. He was born on September 24, 1934 to John and Agnes Stadjuhar in Pueblo, CO. Ivan was a proud member of the Catholic Church attending Holy Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine & Parish where he was a Lector for 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, golf, four-wheeling, collecting Americana, and watching his New York Yankees play baseball. Ivan was a member of the Elks Lodge 1119 and held positions as Exalted Ruler and District Deputy. His greatest joy in life was watching his grandchildren grow into young respectable adults. The smiles on their faces always warmed his heart. Ivan is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carrie Stadjuhar, daughter, Cheryl Ray and husband Larry of Las Cruces, NM, sons, Randy Stadjuhar and wife Laura of Las Cruces, NM, and Kevin Stadjuhar also of Las Cruces, NM. He is also survived by a brother, Robert Stadjuhar and wife Maryann of Colorado Springs, CO, a sister-in-law, Donna Alishio of Denver, CO and six grandchildren, Colby, Tara, Matthew, John, Georganna and Michelle. A golden heart has stopped beating and tired hard working hands are resting. We love you and will deeply miss you. A visitation will be held at Getz Funeral Home from 5-7 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2013 where a prayer vigil will immediately follow at 7 pm. Funeral mass will be held at 1 pm on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine & Parish with Fr. Vincent Petersen as celebrant. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
