J. Warren Breneman, passed away Sunday, August 29th in Las Cruces, NM. He was 94. Born August 17, 1916 in Mobile, he was the son of W. Herschel and Agnes (Sherry) Breneman. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years Miriam '"Mickie" R. Breneman. He is survived by his children Mary B. Matthews (Jim), Salem, AL; Leigh B. DeRoos (Y. Spencer), Las Cruces, NM; John W. Breneman, Jr., Mobile; William (Bill) H. Breneman, II of Mobile; and Kristin B. Staskowski Birmingham, AL; sister Agnes Pafenbach, Mobile; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was a graduate of Murphy High School and attended Spring Hill College. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Army in the Pacific Theatre. He retired after 33 years as a pharmaceutical representative with Winthrop Laboratories, a division of Sterling Drug. He was a charter member of St. Dominic Catholic Church where he had served as a lector and in the Holy Name Society for many years. He was also charter member of Heron Lakes Country Club. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 4156 Burma Road, Mobile at 11AM with visitation for one hour before at the church. Interment will be in the Catholic Cemetery of Mobile.
