Jaime Vallejo

January 14, 1949 — June 24, 2013

Jaime Vallejo, 64, of Las Cruces, NM went to be with his heavenly father on Monday June 24, 2013. He was born on January 14, 1949 to Alfredo and Margarita Vallejo in Los Angeles, CA. Jaime proudly served his country in the Vietnam War with the United States Navy. After honorably serving his country, Jaime was a base ball and soccer coach. Jaime also was a percussionist with a band in the 1970's, he enjoyed jet skiing and surfing. Jaime was also a commander of the D.A.V., in California and New Mexico; he was also a member of the American Legion, and a member of the Auto Body Union in San Francisco, CA. He was an avid football and baseball fan; He enjoyed watching the Aggies, Giants, and San Francisco 49ers, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Jaime is survived by his wife Lisa Vallejo, his sons Diego and Matteo Vallejo both from San Francisco, California; his brother Eduardo Vallejo and his wife Cindy, of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Jaime was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Margarita Vallejo and two brothers. Visitation for Jaime will be Thursday June 27, 2013 at Getz Funeral Home from 5-7 pm, where a prayer vigil will follow at 7 pm. Funeral services will be 10 am Friday June 28, 2013 at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church, at his request cremation will follow the services.
