James E. Rucks, 68, a resident of Las Cruces, NM and formerly of Flint, MI, Cleveland, OH and Nashville, TN departed this life on Thursday, June 5, 2014. He was born on August 28, 1945 to the late Alfred and Gladys Hayes Rucks of Lebanon, TN. James graduated from Wilson County High in Lebanon, TN and received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Tennessee State University in 1969. He was the owner of a nationwide recruiting company, ADD-Vantage Personnel Services based in Flint, MI before retiring. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Gloria A. Murray Rucks, Las Cruces, NM; Children: Christopher (Melissa) Rucks, Denver, CO and Leslie Rucks, Nashville,TN; Siblings: Alfred Rucks, Las Cruces, NM; Claudine (James) Wilson, Akron, OH;Thomas (Gloria) Rucks, Cleveland, OH; Mary Rucks Hurd, Lebanon, TN; Jarvis (Wilma) Rucks, Lebanon, TN; Elaine (James) Crutchfield, Lebanon, TN; Joseph Rucks, Lebanon, TN ; Aunt Lena Sadler, Lebanon, TN and many nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws. James was a devoted and faithful member of the Las Cruces Church of Christ in New Mexico and often served as a teacher and song leader. He received tremendous joy from singing and sharing it with others. He had a love for nature and the adventures of traveling.
