James Gerald Fields, fondly known as Jerry, died peacefully at home on November 17, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was born November 20, 1937 in Miami, Arizona and spent most of his life in Arizona and New Mexico. He worked and retired from White Sands Missile Range, traveling the world with these different projects. He loved his family, his dogs, fishing and camping, and recently enjoyed his retirement with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He enjoyed spending time each week solving the world's problems with his coffee buddies. He leaves behind his high-school sweetheart wife of 55 years, Doris, his 4 daughters Sheri (Roy Pierce), Kim (Phil Owen), Sue (Larry Nemec), and Patty (Steve Gale), and his son, James (Jen Fields). He'll also be missed by his 10 grandkids, Jessica (Bryan) Hunter, Lindsy and Trenton Pierce, Kasey Owen, Bob (Chelise) Wise, Heather Nemec, Aidan, Madelyn, and Zoe Gale, and William Fields, and by his 2 great-grandkids Mason Hunter and Dillon Wise. The family would like to thank Mesilla Valley Hospice for their help through the last few days, as well as Dr. Harry Bass and his wonderful staff, and Dr. Axel Zagler. No local services are planned at this time. PDF Printable Version
