She was an educator for over 40 years, retiring from both the state of Colorado and New Mexico. Her last years of teaching were at Dessert Hills Elementary. She is survived by her loving husband...
On Tuesday August 3, 2021, Janet Martinez a loving Wife, and Mother of 3 children passed away at the age of 73. Janet was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 7, 1948, to Bernard and Nancy Pavlica. She was an educator for over 40 years, retiring from both the state of Colorado and New Mexico. Her last years of teaching were at Dessert Hills Elementary. She is survived by her loving husband David Martinez of 44 years of marriage. She is also survived by her Son Zac and daughter in law Sahra Martinez of Delta, Colorado and Daughter Jennie Martinez of Las Cruces, New Mexico. She also leaves her 8 treasured Grandchildren, Bailey, Serina, Penelope, Ava, Colton, Case, Cooper and Marcos. As well as Brother Barney and Sister Sally of Florida. Jan is proceeded in death by her parents Bernard and Nancy and her infant child David Bernard. She is loved, and cherished by so many fellow teachers, students, and families she had over the many years of teaching. Her family and friends will never forget her loving and wise words she shared with so many of us. Per her wishes she was Cremated. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
