Janet Ra Harrison On January 17, 2018, our Lord called another angel to join his flock. Our most beloved wife, mother and grandmother has left us to be with the jones that she loved so dear. She was visiting her daughter in California, which would end in the ultimate vacation of her life, a trip with her loved ones, and reservations at the best hotel in life, a seat next to the one that calls and loves us. Janet was born July 5, 1940 in Gas City, Indiana, a twin what a joy. Her family moved to Las Cruces where she attended Cruces High and met the love of her life. The two were married on May 30, 1958 and never spent a day apart after. In 1969 she moved to Cal while Eddy pursued his career in music. In 1977 she moved back to Cruces and resumed her life as mom extraordinaire. She enjoyed the simple things in life, Needlepoint was her rave, making a new hanging for every occasion, Santa for Xmas, a leprechaun for St. Pats. Hearts for Valentines, any day any occasion she had it, they will ALWAYS hang on our door. She also crocheted many hats that she gave to the homeless and lap quilts for seniors. She loved her home and her flowers, the best in the neighborhood. She loved her NASCAR Jeff Gordon #24 could do no wrong, and she loved football, Cowboys and Seahawks, miss her yell as one of these scored. She has left a world of people that love and will miss her. Her husband and life mate, Eddy Harrison, her Children Carter Harrison, Diana James, Laurel Cooper. Grandchildren, Douglas Harrison, Shanna Cooper, Scotty Powers and great-grandson Cassius Harrison and sister Judy Parent. Preceded in her journey by her father Sherman Smith, mother Reba Pricer, brother Emerick Smith and Sister Patricia Prendergast. A memorial for her will be held Monday, January 29, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Getz Funeral Home. Please come and share the love and loss in all our lives. Service Information
