Janice A. Peterson, 69, of Las Cruces, died Saturday, April 26, 2008. She was born July 8, 1938 in Carlsbad, NM to William and Glenyce Gray. Janice retired after many years of faithful service from the State of New Mexico Correctional Institute. She loved to read, crochet and was a collector of angels but her passion was for her family. Janice A. Peterson, 69, of Las Cruces, died Saturday, April 26, 2008. She was born July 8, 1938 in Carlsbad, NM to William and Glenyce Gray. Janice retired after many years of faithful service from the State of New Mexico Correctional Institute. She loved to read, crochet and was a collector of angels but her passion was for her family. Janice will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and love her. She is survived by her sons Randy Wolffarth and wife Janet of Clayton, NM and Guy Wolffarth and partner Steve of Las Cruces; daughter Paige Chavez and husband Ron of Las Cruces; brothers Chuck Gray and wife Beverly of Albuquerque, NM; sisters-in-law Teresa Gray and husband Gene of Tacoma, WA and Betty Gray of Tucson, AZ. Janice is also survived by her grandchildren Destiny, Shyan, Jarrod, Aimee, Micah, Makenzy and Trevin and by 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter Stacey; parents and brothers Gayle and Gary. Memorial Services to celebrate her life will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Getz Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Foster officiating. Her cremains will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
