Jean F. Casaus, 87 of Las Cruces, NM quietly entered eternal life Wednesday, August 1, 2007 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 20, 1919 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Baltazar and Donaciana Armenta Fouillet. Jean retired from the Las Cruces Public Schools as cafeteria manager. Jean loved to play bingo, was a member of the American Legion Woman's Auxiliary Post 10 and also a member of St. Genevieve's Catholic Church. Jean is survived by her children, Frank Casaus (Lisa) of Los Angeles, CA; Richard Casaus (Isabel) of Las Cruces, NM; Don Casaus (Christine) of Edgewood, NM; Mike Casaus (Sylvia) of Silver City, NM, Jeanette Casaus of Las Cruces, NM and Kathie Casaus of Albuquerque, NM. Also surviving Jean is one sister, Margaret Fouillet of Las Cruces, NM and in-laws, Jesse Casaus (Rose) Dora Lopez, Lucy Carrillo Rosemary Casaus, and Stella Armenta. 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Bennie in 2001, two sisters, Consuelo Apodaca and Antonia Lee, one brother, Ralph "Pinky" Armenta, one grandson Angel Eugene Casaus, and four brothers in laws, Vince Lopez, Dan Carrillo, John Casaus and Joe Casaus. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel where the Prayer Vigil will follow at 7 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 AM on Monday, August 6, 2007 at St, Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Ricardo Bauza. Serving, as pallbearers will be grandchildren, Steven Casaus, Michael B. Casaus, Tanya Casaus, Tommy Borunda, Donald Casaus, and Daniel L. Casaus. Honorary pallbearers will be remaining grandchildren, Laura, Patricia, Kristina, Anna, Domenic, Dara, Christian, Troy, Jacob, Daniel E., Amanda, and Amber. A luncheon will be held immediately after the services at the VFW Post 3242, 2001 N. Mesquite. In lieu of flowers, the family request's that donations be made to Mesilla Valley Hospice
