Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend Jenell Maxine Wood of Las Cruces, NM went home to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 28, 2010. Jenell was born in Pierce, Nebraska to Delbert and Edna Rogers on January 18, 1936. She was a civil service employee for 38 years, working at the Sioux Ordnance Depot in Nebraska and at White Sands Missile Range, NM. Jenell was married to Wesley Warren Wood on February 16, 1991. Together they enjoyed many adventures while living in Las Cruces, Ruidoso and their home on wheels. She enjoyed bowling, reading, dancing, traveling and an occasional stop at the casino. Jenell was preceded by the death of her parents, her brother Ronald and nephews Rick and Doug Rogers. She is survived by her devoted husband, brother Robert and wife Phyllis Rogers of Sun City, AZ, daughter Renee and husband Ron Thompson of Slidell, LA, daughter Rhonda and husband Martin Pillar of Las Cruces, NM, son Chris Wood and Kelly of Tularosa, NM, niece Cheryl and daughter Ashley Eggers of Sun City, AZ, grandchildren Nicole, Brittney, Courtney, Taryn, Jerrica, Travys, Zachari, Nikolas, Taylor and Liana, great-grandchildren Angelo, Aja, Kaya, TaiNani, Marley, Nyla and Alinah as well as her devoted friend of 36 years Dodie Hale. At her request cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jenell's life will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 1701 E. Missouri Ave., Las Cruces, NM.
