Jerry G. Hill, 77, Las Cruces resident since 1956, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 11, 1934 in Soper, OK, to Robert and Ruby Jones Hill. Jerry G. Hill, 77, Las Cruces resident since 1956, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 11, 1934 in Soper, OK, to Robert and Ruby Jones Hill. Jerry met Anna Adele Miller in Green river, WY where they married in 1954. Jerry was a well known business man establishing & operating several businesses during the 60's, 70's and 80's. He loved Country Music and was given the gift of playing by ear Honky- Tonk style piano. He formed a band known as "The Mesilla valley Boys" and opened a night club in 1975 naming it "Jerry's Place' Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Anna of the family home; dauthter Diana Susan Hill, son Lee Peterson Hill, daughter-in-law Shirley, and one grandson Lee Boot Hill all of Las Cruces; sisters Julia Fullingham of Texas, Wanda Ueltzen and Patsy Rainwater both of Oklahoma and by numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Encantada Mobil Home Park Clubhouse.
