Jessie Ramos Gonzales, 59, passed away on Friday October 5, 2018 in Las Cruces, NM. Jessie was born on June 30,1959 in Las Cruces, NM to Margarita and Saturnino Gonzales. He is preceded in death by his mother Margarita Gonzales, sister Yolanda Gonzales, and brother Ricky Gonzales. He is survived by his partner of 27 years Vicky Villegas, his children Jessie Jr., Delia, Elena, Roxanne Gonzales, and his grandchildren. He also leaves behind sisters Anna Gonzales and Virginia Gonzales, brothers Charlie Gonzales (Nita), Florentino Gonzales, Isidro Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales, Jaime Gonzales, Fred Perez and Fred Gonzales (Leticia). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jessie was a fun-loving person and jokester, who could make any one laugh or smile. He was always willing to help and at any moment offer you the shirt off his back. He graduated from Mayfield High School in 1979, where he excelled in baseball, earning a baseball scholarship where he briefly played at Western New Mexico University in Silver City, NM. He was an avid football fan always cheering for his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, October 26, 2018 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church 100 S. Espina, Las Cruces, NM 88001. A celebration of life for Jessie will be on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at VFW 2001 N. Mesquite St. in Las Cruces, NM, from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
