Jesus M. Montoya, 24, of Mesquite, NM died Monday, July 5, 2010. "Jesse or Chuey" as he was fondly known was born Aug. 19, 1985 in Las Cruces to Sonia Marie Montoya. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, racing and collecting knives and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. He is survived by his parents Jesus "Don" and Lucille Montoya of the family home; mother Sonia Marie Watts and husband Tim of Las Cruces; brothers Leo Montoya and wife Nancy of Deming, NM, Larry Montoya and wife Maricruz of Las Cruces, Josh and George Chacon Jr. both of Mesquite, NM; sisters Georgette, Vanessa and Myra Chacon all of Mesquite, NM and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will begin at 6 PM on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Mesquite, NM where his prayer vigil will follow. Jesse's funeral mass to celebrate his life will be at 10 am on Friday, July 9, 2010 also at Our Lady of Perpetual Help with Fr. Don Adamski officiating. Rite of Committal will be at the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jose Luis Moreno, Daniel Arrelleno, Jose Manchego, Jesse Medina, Andrew and Leo Montoya, Paul Mendoza, Ruben Telles II, Antonio and Julian Gonzales and by many honorary pallbearers.
