Our Beloved son, brother and uncle passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010. Jesus Manuel Franco (Manny) was born to Jesse and Virginia Franco on November 29, 1961 in Oceanside, CA. Growing up, Manny was a four sport athlete, talented musician and gifted artist. He attended the University of New Mexico on a Presidential Academic Scholarship. He eventually received an Associate's Degree in political science with an honor in math from Eastern New Mexico University. He was a devout Catholic with a lifelong dream of joining the Priesthood. He was most recently employed with Tresco Industries. Manny truly epitomized the meaning of kindhearted. He loved to participate in the locally held charity walk/runs. Manny always had kind words for everyone. Even though he suffered with a debilitating mental illness, one never heard any complaints. We were blessed to have such a wonderful, selfless person in our lives. He graced us with his strength, faith and unconditional love. Manny is with our Lord and will suffer no longer. Manny is survived by his parents Jesse and Virginia Franco, Ceila, Steve, Matthew and Andrew Welsch. Didra, Randy, and Luke Chavez. Gabe, Lisa, Megan, Preston, and Jacob Franco. Cyra, Ken, Jessi, and Kennedy Gutierrez. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his niece Isabella Grace Franco.
