Jesusita F. Hernandez, 80, lifelong resident of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, Jan. 10. 2007. She was born Feb. 5, 1926 in Las Cruces, (she was born in Chiva Town) to Luis and Mecedes Fierro. She had been a member of St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, the Sacred Heart League, El Recrativo Club, El Chico Club, El Club Social del Baile de Recuerdo. She retired in 1971 as a cook with Las Cruces Foods. Jesusita will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband Domitilio R. Hernandez who passed away in 1994. Her mother and father Luis and Mercedes Fierro, brothers and sisters Leonardo Fierro, Jesus Jose Fierro, Rosa Fierro, Florencia Campos, and Ramon Fierro. She is survived by her daughter Maximina (Irma) H, Telles, companion Manny Sanchez, grandson Leonard H. Telles and his wife Rebecca Telles, great granddaughter (Nana) Unique Marie Telles, Step great grand daughter Estrella (Tato) Marie Sanchez, Denver Co. Step Grandsons, Kenneth Sanchez and Tomas Sanchez, her brothers and sisters Marcos Fierro of El Paso, Luis Fierro of Juarez, MX; Augustina Corte of Saucillo, MX, Hermelinda Canas of Mexico City, Pepe and Dionica Fierro of Delicias MX. Nieces and nephews Lucy and Al Garza of Arizona, Juana and Frank Gallegos of Brazito, Lilly and Reymundo Armendariz of Delicias MX, Greg Fierro of California and Daniel Sandoval of California. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Monday, Jan. 15, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 PM. Her funeral mass is at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Moreno officiating. Rite of Committal will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers are Salvador Saiz, Paul Duran, Jack Gonzales, Michael Telles, Daniel Sandoval and Greg Fierro. Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard H. Telles and Manny Sanchez. PDF Printable Version
