Jimmy V. Cardon, of Las Cruces, entered eternal life peacefully on October 13, 2021, at the Village of Northrise. He was born to Jose (Calalo) Cardon and Martha Valencia Cardon on November 20, 1953. Jimmy V. Cardon, of Las Cruces, entered eternal life peacefully on October 13, 2021, at the Village of Northrise. He was born to Jose (Calalo) Cardon and Martha Valencia Cardon on November 20, 1953. He graduated from Mayfield high school and went on to join the military. He proudly served during Vietnam with the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. Some of Jimmy's favorite things were watching Elvis Presley movies, old war movies, George Strait, a nice pair of cowboy boots to dance in, and his Harley Davidson. He is survived by his only daughter, Naomi Cardon (and husband Ronnie Delao), his two grandchildren, Jacob Gallardo (Dolltyn) , and Selena Gallardo, and two great grandchildren, Addie and Aria Gallardo, a sister, Elizabeth C. Alvarez (Arturo), a sister in law, (and caregiver), Sylvia Cardon . Other survivors include multiple nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose (Calalo) Cardon and Martha Valencia Cardon, His brothers, Bobby and Harry Cardon.
Visitation for Jimmy will be held at Getz funeral home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 4:30pm. A prayer vigil is scheduled for 6:30 pm. Concluding service will follow on Thursday, October 28th, 2021 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military honors.
