Jo Sheldon Hill, of Las Cruces, NM passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 30, 2013 at Good Samaritan Health Care Center. Jo was born June 28, 1922 in Schneider, TX to L.M. Parks. She lived most of her life in Las Cruces. Jo was a long time employee of The Music Box and an active member in the American Business Woman's Association where she was named Woman of the Year in 1976. Jo was one of the original members of the University United Methodist Church, a life time member of Beta Sigma Phi and member of the Daughters of the Nile. In her spare time Jo loved to play canasta and bingo with her friends as well as camping and deep sea fishing with her family. Jo was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Dale Hill. Jo is survived by Donna Bumgarner (spouse Buzz) of Las Cruces, NM, and son John Sheldon (spouse Cindy) of Glenwood, NM, granddaughter Leslie of Las Cruces, grandson Cameron of Gilbert, AZ, and many great grandchildren. The Hill family would like to thank Dr. Baker and his staff as well as the nurses and caregivers of Las Cruces Good Samaritan nursing home.
