Joan Lea Bleimeyer

Joan Lea Bleimeyer, 52, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012. She was born March 20, 1959 in Las Cruces to Herb and Barbara Bleimeyer. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and reading, but her passion was for her family. Joan will be missed beyond words and the tears shed will be of sorrow and joy. Sorrow for the loss of the physical person we loved to hug and hold hands with. Joy for the memories of laughter shared. She is survived by her two children Jake Hernandez and Dawn Anaya and husband David; Brother Larry Bleimeyer and wife Becky; Sisters Kathy Alba and husband Eddie and Sheri Dugan and husband Billy; grandchildren Kaisha, Jaiden, Aiden and Liana and by numerous other family members. Joan was preceded in death by her parents Herb and Barbara Bleimeyer. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be at 10 am on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 also at Getz Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The honor of being a pallbearer will to Brian Abraham, James Williams, Ernie Benavidez, Jim Delcambre, Mike McDonald and Mike Heard.
