John G. Evaro Jr. 49 of Las Cruces, NM entered eternal life on Tuesday October 3, 2006 at home. He was born March 27, 1957 in Las Cruces, NM to Juan and Esther Evaro. His loving family and many friends will deeply and forever miss John. An avid lover of low-rider cars since he was young, John participated in many car shows where he won many trophies for his dedication and hard work....

John G. Evaro Jr. 49 of Las Cruces, NM entered eternal life on Tuesday October 3, 2006 at home. He was born March 27, 1957 in Las Cruces, NM to Juan and Esther Evaro. His loving family and many friends will deeply and forever miss John. An avid lover of low-rider cars since he was young, John participated in many car shows where he won many trophies for his dedication and hard work. John is survived by his loving wife, Terry Evaro and his mother, Esther Evaro of the family home. Three sons, John Evaro III, Tommy John Evaro, and Anthony Evaro. Two daughters, Devonna Romero, and Lorena Stump. Three step daughters, April Flores, Mandy Flores, and Crystal Flores. One brother Richard (Ricky) Evaro. Two sisters, Yvonne Lewis and her husband Darrell, and Janet Evaro and her husband Freddie. Also surviving John are eight grandchildren, Kane Umbenhauer, Jonathan Evaro, Justin Evaro, Fina Stump, Sarah Evaro, Nathaniel Elebario, Makayla Evaro, Jeremiah Stump, and Melissa Avelar. Other survivors also include a special niece Destiny Aguirre and special nephew, Julian Aguirre with whom he spent time with and shared many joyful and special moments with. He was their special uncle that they looked up to and cared for very much. Also his dear friends from Superior Car Club, whom he shared his passion and devotion for low rider cars. John was preceded in death by his father Juan Evaro, and two grandchildren, Mauricio Alarcon and Nubia Alarcon. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 PM on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral where the Prayer Vigil will follow at 7 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 AM on Friday, October 6, 2006 also at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral. Serving, as pallbearers will be Joe Reyes, John Evaro III, J.J. Apodaca, Eloy Sanchez, Jessie Apodaca, and Albert Salaiz. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephew Ricky Evaro Jr., Sam Matkin, all his numerous cousins, and members of the Superior Car Club. Cremation will follow and interment of his ashes will be at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
