John Leho, 57, of Las Cruces, NM and formerly of Bronx, NY died Tuesday, June 26, 2012. He was born March 21, 1955 in Bronx, NY to John and MaryJane Leho. He was a retired Detective with more than 20 years of faithful service with the N.Y.P.D. where he was awarded the Medal of Honor and was highly decorated. John was also one of the first responders of the 911 terror attacks on the World Trade Center. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, shooting and photography, but his passion was for his family and his job. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. John is survived by his loving wife Merryl Leho with whom he has shared 31 wonderful years; mother MaryJane Leho of Yonkers, NY; brother Doug Leho of Bronx, NY and his sister Resa Lamadore and husband Richie of Yonkers, NY. John was preceded in death by his father John M. Leho. Memorial Services to celebrate his life are at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home with Chaplain John Gillette of the US Border Patrol officiating. PDF Printable Version
