John Rania Escobar, 58, of Las Cruces, NM, Died Saturday November 25, 2006 at Las Palmas Medical Center. John was born January 26, 1948 in San Jose, CA to Richard and Betty Rania. He graduated from Del Mar High School in San Jose, CA. He later married his first and only love Lou. John moved to Grass Valley, CA. to open his own business. He and his family then moved to Las Cruces, NM. John was a strong and loving husband, dad and grandfather. He always looked forward to challenging his sons on the golf course as often as possible. John is survived by his beloved wife Lou, of the family home, two sons Brian Escobar, of Las Cruces, Sean Escobar and wife Anzela, of Las Cruces, two grandchildren Tylor, Destiny, of Las Cruces, mother Betty Klatt and husband Greg, of Las Cruces, one brother Richard Rania and wife Jill of Roseville, CA, one sister Vickie loss and husband Patrick, of Florida, Mother in law Pauline Cook, one sister in law, Dianna Swilley and husband Wayne, of Montana, six brother in laws, Charles Cook and wife Elouise, of Arkansas, Curtis Cook and wife Pat, of Oakhurst, CA, David Cook and wife Bernnie, of Atwater, CA, Sidney Cook, of Chow Chilla, CA, Ricky Cook and wife Debbie, of Missouri, Larry Cook and wife Christina, of Chow Chilla, CA, Father Richard Rania and wife Barbara, Of Roseville, CA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and the many friends he made through the his years. John was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather John Rania, maternal grandparents, Raymond Spittler and Gertrude Gerow, brother Jerry Escobar, two sisters Lisa Rania, Jacque Myer, Father in law Jack Cook, and brother in law Gerald Cook. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2006 with David Stewart officiating. PDF Printable Version
