Juan "Johnny" G. Lujan, 68, of Las Cruces, NM died Tuesday November 14, 2006. He was born June 19, 1938 in Las Cruces, NM to Juan B. and Ramona G. Lujan. He was a Graduate of Las Cruces High School, and was a member of the "Alligators" music group before serving in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged from the Army he returned to Las Cruces and became a member of the "Happy Timers" music group. Johnny married his wife Blanca in 1961. He was employed by Smith & Aguirre Construction CO for over 39 years. He took great pride in his job and loved to reminisce about the old times and the work he had done. He enjoyed playing the piano, but his greatest love was for his two grandsons and the rest of the family. Johnny truly had a caring heart and would always worry about his family and friends and what he could do to help them next. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Blanca R. Lujan of the family home, two daughters, Nadine L. Rosales and husband Alex of Venice, CA; and Vina "Boo-Boo" Lujan of Las Cruces, NM. Johnny is also survived by his two grandchildren, George Rosales and United States Marine Cpl. Jason Rosales and by many nieces and nephews who he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his brother Lencho Lujan, and two sisters, Lupe Gamboa, and Nena Lujan. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM at Getz Funeral Home Thursday November 16, 2006 with a prayer vigil to follow at 7 PM also at Getz Funeral Home. The mass will be given at 10 AM Friday November 17, 2006 at the Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church in Dona Ana. The rite of committal will follow in Ft. Bliss, TX at the Ft.
