Jon R. Rice, 56 of Las Cruces, NM went to be with his heavenly father Thursday February 27, 2014. He was adopted by Albert D. and Virginia Rice on May 15, 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany. Jon R. Rice, 56 of Las Cruces, NM went to be with his heavenly father Thursday February 27, 2014. He was adopted by Albert D. and Virginia Rice on May 15, 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany. Jon was a member of Las Cruces First Assembly of God. He enjoyed golfing, watching his beloved Washington Redskins and most of all he was a hard worker and a family man. Jon loved camping, and boating always having his family and friends close by. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Barbara Rice of the family home, father, Albert D. Rice,his sons, Wayne and Jonathan Rice and his sister, Aleece Montoya. Jon was preceded in death by his Mother Virginia Rice. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of Jon's life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday March 7, 2014 at Las Cruces First Assembly of God with Pastor David Vistine officiating.
