Our beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grand father and great-great-grandfather Jose Socorro Valenzuela 96, lifelong resident of Mesquite, NM. Entered eternal life to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, August 21, 2022. "PEPE" as he was fondly known to family and friends was born December 5, 1925, in La Mesa to Prisciliano and Dolores (Mata Valencia) Valenzuela. He attended school in La Mesa and served his country honorably in the United States Navy during WWII as a Seaman First Class. He retired from White Sands Missile Range and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where he volunteered in any church projects and fiestas. His passion was working outside in his garden and deer hunting. He enjoyed visiting and talking to family members and friends. Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife Jacinta "Chinta" Valenzuela of Mesquite, Daughters, Bertha Roberts (Jon) of Mesquite, Virginia Espinoza (Gabriel) of Las Cruces, Two Sons, Joe Valenzuela (Alice) of Mesquite, Hector Valenzuela (Glynis) of Rio Rancho. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren plus 2 on the way, 1 great-great-grand child as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary and Mass will begin immediately following with a burial at Missionary Ridge. Military honors will be accorded by the US Navy Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Ryan Quintana, Michael Jon Roberts, Kevin Roberts, Keith Roberts, Jaime Valenzuela and Dominic Valenzuela.
