Joseph "Joe" Michael Holguin, 63, of Las Cruces passed away on December 14, 2013 at his home. Joe was born February 20, 1950 to Jose Holguin and Antonia Gallegos. Mr. Holguin was a truck driver for Wild West Transportation and a member of the Catholic Church. Joseph "Joe" Michael Holguin, 63, of Las Cruces passed away on December 14, 2013 at his home. Joe was born February 20, 1950 to Jose Holguin and Antonia Gallegos. Mr. Holguin was a truck driver for Wild West Transportation and a member of the Catholic Church. Joe was fond of western movies, enjoyed watching baseball, a fan of playing cards with family and friends, liked being outdoors, and jumped at the opportunity to hear music and dance, but his true love were his children and grandchild. He will be deeply missed by all who know and love him. He is survived by his wife Lazara "Lala" Holguin of 31 years; his daughter Irma Holguin; his sons Memo Holguin, Jose and wife Jacquie Holguin; grandson Pepito Holguin. He is also survived by his mother Antonia Gallegos and the Holguin, Hernandez and Armenta families. The entire Holguin family send out there deepest gratitude for the care and kindness given to their Husband, Father, Grandfather and son by Mesilla Valley Hospice and Dr. Greenfield. Thank you all. A visitation will be held at 5-7 pm on Thursday December 19, 2013 at Getz Funeral Home with a prayer vigil to follow at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 2pm on Friday December 20, 2013 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with Fr. Ricardo Bauza as celebrant.
