It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend, Juan Montoya, age 77, of Las Cruces, New Mexico. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 3, 2020. Juan was a retired land surveyor, but he was also known as a "jack of all trades." He enjoyed listening to music, going to the casinos, and was known to occasionally enjoy a cold "Tecate." Juan was one of the best storyteller's known in these areas and never missed an opportunity to tell a great story to anyone who would listen. He was a true "family man," who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Juan was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of meeting this great man. Viewing services for Juan will be held at Getz Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 from 6 to 7 pm with the rosary immediately following at 7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 10:30 am with burial services immediately following at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
