It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father Juan Daniel Minjares, age 60. Juan was born on January 27, 1962, in Las Cruces, New Mexico and was a lifelong resident. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father Juan Daniel Minjares, age 60. Juan was born on January 27, 1962, in Las Cruces, New Mexico and was a lifelong resident. Our heavenly Father took His son back into His arms on September 21, 2022, peacefully surrounded by his beloved family. Known as El Pelon to many, he gave his life to the Lord and served as a Pastor for many years reaching out to the youth, doing Prison Ministry, and working as a Substance Abuse Counselor. Pelon was known for his kindness, generosity, wit, and humor. He had a passion for lowriding, riding his trike, fishing, singing, dancing, and his Green Bay Packers. Juan will be greatly missed by many. Juan is survived by his fiance Elvira Ruvalcaba and four daughters: Ana Marie Minjares, Jessica Jo Minjares, Maggie Escalera (Debbie) and Patricia Ramirez. He had ten grandchildren: Guillermo Juan-Daniel Soltero, Jaelene Marie Caro, Daniel Jose Caro, Alfredo Flores Jr., Adaisha Ann Correa, Johnny Angel Correa, Nadine Ramirez, Damian Ramirez, Alayna Ramirez, and Lily Ramirez. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, two brothers, one sister and many relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Socorro Montes and his father Jose Minjares. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday October 22, 2022, at 9:00 am at Calvary Chapel of Las Cruces, 139 S. Main St. A cruise in his honor will immediately follow the services at 10:30 am, and we will gather after the cruise for a reception from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm at 522 E. Idaho Ave.
