Juanita Sanchez Telles 87, of Las Cruces, NM passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side Sunday August 2, 2009. She was born June 2, 1922 in Talpa Jalisco, Mexico to Everardo Sanchez and Juana Gonzalez. Juanita enjoyed sewing, but her passion was cooking for her family. Juanita Sanchez Telles 87, of Las Cruces, NM passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side Sunday August 2, 2009. She was born June 2, 1922 in Talpa Jalisco, Mexico to Everardo Sanchez and Juana Gonzalez. Juanita enjoyed sewing, but her passion was cooking for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. On February 21, 1955 Juanita married Antonio P. Telles and together had six children. Sons, Mark Telles and wife Martha from Alamogordo, NM, Oscar Telles and Wife Mary Ann from Mesilla Park, NM, Orlando Telles and wife Denise from Peoria, AZ, daughters, Irma Stuart and husband Randy from Glendale, AZ, Sandra Telles of Las Cruces, NM, Mary Telles and companion Robert Gonzales of Las Cruces, NM, seventeen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren And numerous Nieces and Nephews. Her husband, granddaughter Lena Telles, her parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. A visitation will be held at Getz Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday August 6, 2009 from 5-7 PM with a prayer vigil to follow at 7 PM. Mass will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral on Friday August 7, 2009 at 10 AM. Arrangements by Getz Funeral Home Pallbearers will be Joshua, Phillip, Oscar (O.P.), and Vincent Telles, Robby Stuart and Christopher Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers will be Orly and Isaiah Telles.
