Loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and friend, Judy Gomez, 63, of Las Cruces, NM died Saturday, June 2, 2012. She was born to Dempsey and Edna Lumpkins on July 27, 1948 in Ft. Knox, KY. Loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and friend, Judy Gomez, 63, of Las Cruces, NM died Saturday, June 2, 2012. She was born to Dempsey and Edna Lumpkins on July 27, 1948 in Ft. Knox, KY. Judy was very proud to be a member of the Red Hat Society, enjoyed the outdoors, and traveling with her late husband Phil R. Gomez. Her true passion in life was raising her granddaughter Alyssa Montoya Gomez. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Judy is survived by her granddaughter, Alyssa Montoya Gomez of the family home, daughter Marcella and husband Salvador Munoz of Las Cruces, NM, son Michael S. Gomez of Las Cruces, NM, sister, Kathy kinnaman of Utah, cousin Betty LaRue Marquez of Tennessee. She is also survived by her very good friends Sharon and Jim Kate and Judy's five other grandchildren, Anthony and Alexander Sena, Jacob Montoya, Angelica and Aaliyah Munoz. She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Phillip "Phil" R. Gomez and her parents. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 5 to 7 PM followed by a rosary at 7 PM at Getz Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
