Judy K. Parent, 82, passes peacefully Saturday, June 3, 2023 with family by her side at Three Crosses Hospital.

Judy was born July 5, 1940 in Winchester, Indiana to Sherman and Rheba May (Freshour) Smith. She attened Las Cruces High School. Judy and her late husband Bucky Parent owned and operated Columbus LP Gas in Columbus, NM. Prior to that she was a bookkeeper for Pepper's Supermarket and Southside Market in Deming NM. Judy loved watching Nascar with her son-in-law Vince on the weekends as well as watching Naked and Afraid. She enjoyed reading and camping.
She is survived by her son Raymond Gee III (Margaret) of Carlsbad NM, daughter Lisa Melone (Vince) of San Miguel, NM. Four Grandchildren, Gabriela, Mackenzie, Samuel and Melony and four great-grandchildren. As well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her father Sherman Smith, mother Rheba Pricer, brother Emerick Smith, sisters Patricia Prendergast and Janet Harrison and grandson David Gee.
