Karen Lynne Hutchison died Saturday May 4th, 2024, at her home in Las Cruces. She was 65 years old. Karen was born in Alamogordo New Mexico on August 30, 1958, to Albert and Nova Hutchison. Karen Lynne Hutchison died Saturday May 4th, 2024, at her home in Las Cruces. She was 65 years old. Karen was born in Alamogordo New Mexico on August 30, 1958, to Albert and Nova Hutchison. Karen came to Las Cruces right out of high school, and attended NMSU, and then worked for 20 years at the Physical Science Laboratory. Karen was active in many organizations, including: Peace Lutheran Church, Border Servant Corps, the Dona Ana and Otero county democratic parties. When Karen moved back to Alamogordo in 2006-7, she joined Our Savior Lutheran Church, where she served in various capacities over the years. Karen is survived by her husband, Steven Haydu, her brother Karl Hutchison, friends and family. She is predeceased by her father, Albert Hutchison, mother, Nova Hutchison, and a brother, Larry Hutchison.
A memorial service will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Alamogordo, on Wednesday May 22, 2024 at 1pm.
