Kathryn Glasscock, of Las Cruces passed away July 5, 2011, to be with our Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven. Born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, April 26, 1983, to David and Frances Glasscock, Katy was a senior at New Mexico State University, working to graduate with a BS in Government. Kathryn Glasscock, of Las Cruces passed away July 5, 2011, to be with our Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven. Born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, April 26, 1983, to David and Frances Glasscock, Katy was a senior at New Mexico State University, working to graduate with a BS in Government. Katy completed her Associates degree in Criminal Justice at NMSU. Katy loved the outdoors to include camping, fishing, and hiking. She was excellent in soccer, softball, and art. Katy also played the piano and saxophone and loved music. She loved to collect stamps, salt & pepper shakers, and butterflies. She had an avid interest in aviation and was working on obtaining her pilot's license. She completed ground school and was occasionally collecting flight hours. Katy is survived by her two children, Dylan and Danielle, her sister, Emily Glasscock, her sister, Melissa George and husband Stephen and their daughter Brianna, her sister, Angel DeLaO and husband Richard and their children Brittany and Joseph, her brother, Eddie Valenzuela and Michael Chaires and their daughter Aliyah, her brother, Josh Arrey and wife Kim and their daughter Kailee, her father, David Glasscock and wife Rita, and her mother, Sam Glasscock and Doug Achim. She will be greatly missed. Though she is no longer with us, Katy's memory will always be in our hearts. The Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011, 10:00 am at Valley View Baptist Church, 4175 Lavender Drive, Las Cruces, NM, 88005. Funeral arrangements are with Getz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dylan and Danielle's college fund. PDF Printable Version
