Kenneth Daby, 62, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008. He was born July 24, 1945 in Binghamton, NY to Kenneth and Margaret Parsons Daby who preceded him in death. Kenneth was a veteran of the US Army where he served his country honorably during the Vietnam Era. Kenneth Daby, 62, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008. He was born July 24, 1945 in Binghamton, NY to Kenneth and Margaret Parsons Daby who preceded him in death. Kenneth was a veteran of the US Army where he served his country honorably during the Vietnam Era. He graduated from Binghamton North High School in 1963 and received his Associate Degree from State University of New York in marketing in 1969. He was employed with Metropolitan Life Insurance Co from 1969-1979 but retired as a Meteorological Technician after many years of faithful service at WSMR. Kenneth was a member of Southern Tier Corvette Club in Binghamton, NY and the El Paso Corvette Club. He was also an active member of the Vietnam Veterans Association Chapter 431, life member of the American Legion Post 10 and VFW Post 3242. Kenneth will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His brother Robert "Bob" Daby and wife Elaine of Zephyrhills, FL and his sister Patricia "Pat" Waleke and husband Norm of Las Cruces, survive him. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive Ken. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, March 14, 2008 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Service's to celebrate Ken's life will be at 9am on Saturday, March 15, 2008 also at Getz Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military honors.
