Lana S. Hacker born June 18, 1922, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 1, 2018. She was 96 years old. Lana was born in Yugoslavia but grew up in France. There she studied medicine and received honors from the French government for her valor in working against the German Nazis who invaded and occupied France during World War II. At that time in the war, she was also working with the American military where she met Edward Prim. Surviving Nazi oppression and helping the war effort against Hitler made Lana a war hero. Lana and Edward had two sons, John and Kenneth. Lana loved classical and French music. She provided her family with many recordings by the great classical composers. She was a very strong Christian and taught of her family member to love God and follow his Word. As part of her charitable way of living, she helped many people with companionship and financial gifts. Lana is survived by her son Kenneth, grandson Fabien, Kenneth' wife Joann, daughter Nadine, and many relatives in France and in-law relatives in New Mexico. Lana will be buried on Friday, November 9, 2018, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
