Larry D. Stamps

Larry D. Stamps, a long time Las Cruces resident, passed away on Friday, August 12 in Mesa, AZ, following a lengthy illness. Larry was born in Childress, TX on November 11, 1944 to Otis and Lillian Stamps. He grew up in Clovis, NM and later moved to the Dallas area and was a member of the Texas National Guard. He and his wife Gwen moved to Las Cruces in 1988. Larry is survived by his wife, Gwen, of Las Cruces, his mother Lillian Stamps of Clovis, daughter and son-in-law Kim and Chris Dahl of Mesa, AZ, daughter Amy Kimpel of Chandler, AZ, daughter and son-in-law Stacey and Kurt Melzer of Edmond, OK, daughter Shelly Price and son Michael Price, both of Truth or Consequences, and brother and sister-in-law Gerry and Cindy Stamps of Tatum. He is also survived by 12 wonderful grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Otis Stamps.
