Florencio "Larry" Ramirez, 71, of Las Cruces, NM, passed away on April 17th, 2023 Larry was born on February 8th, 1952 to Vicente Ramirez and Clara Rose Rivas Ramirez in Las Cruces, NM. After Larry graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1970, he went on to get his Bachelor's in Business at New Mexico State University, and then his Juris Doctorate in Law at the University of Notre Dame. He was a solo practitioner, and former District Judge.

Larry is survived by his wife Nancy Driscoll Ramirez, his sons Jaime and Jeffery Ramirez, his grandchildren Aaron and Gabriella Ramirez, his mother Clara, brothers Ted (Jeanene), Steve and Vince (Darlene), and his sisters Mary (Rudy) Audetat, Judy (David) Long and Ruth Ramirez.

Larry spent many years helping with the Las Cruces High School football team, both as a booster club president, and as the Videographer for the team. He loved his Bulldawgs fiercely. Larry spent much of his time dedicated to serving the people of Las Cruces. He served on boards such as Tresco, the NMSU Foundation, the LCPS Field of Dreams Taskforce, the LCPS Foundation, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boy Scouts of America, Solo Firms and Small Practices with the ABA, as well as many others. Larry spent most every morning at Roberto's with his second family. Most of his Saturday's were spent cheering on and yelling at his Irish, and then would do much of the same Sunday for his Cowboys. He always had sports on the TV. He spent many years coaching men's fastpitch, with TnT and Sports Corner, travelling all over the US.

Services will be held at Getz Funeral Home on Friday, April 28th at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Special Olympics Las Cruces Adult Program, an organization Larry felt strongly about. He loved his Special Olympics family.
