Leith Bishop was received into heaven's arms on February 27, 2018. Leith was born October 6, 1964 in Las Cruces NM and graduated from Cliff High School in 1982. He married Diane Laurent on May 30, 1987. His profession was a plumber; however, his true passions were horses, John Wayne movies and guns. Leith was able to combine his passions and earned the title of World Champion Cowboy Mounted Shooting; level 4 in 2005. He embraced the freedoms of this country and was grateful to those who have fought and continue to fight for this great country. Leith leaves behind his wife Diane Bishop, son Sean Bishop and daughters Kelsey and Lela Bishop all of Las Cruces NM. His parents Hugh and Jeanne Bishop of Gila NM, older sister Cody and her husband Mike Hanagan of Artesia NM, and younger sister Dana and her husband Tuffy Barnett of Pie Town NM. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was known to be a prankster, trickster, and kidder to family and friends. He had a big heart and would do anything to help a person out. Private family services were held in his honor on March 3, 2018 in Las Cruces NM. Gravesite service are planned for a later date at the Gila Cemetery in Gila NM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the NRA National Rifle Association.
