Leo T. Clear Sr. 86, of Las Cruces, NM died peacefully Monday, February 9, 2009 at La Posada Mesilla Valley Hospice with his loving wife of 64 years Louise Clear, family and friends by his side. Leo T. Clear Sr. 86, of Las Cruces, NM died peacefully Monday, February 9, 2009 at La Posada Mesilla Valley Hospice with his loving wife of 64 years Louise Clear, family and friends by his side. Leo was a devoted catholic, a Member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of The Knights of Columbus as a 4th degree knight. He also served as president of the Las Cruces Catholic School Board for 3 years and a former member of the Board of Governors of the Las Cruces Catholic Diocese. Leo loved his country and served it honorably in World War II. He will be deeply missed by all who know and love him. Leo is survived by his wife of 64 years Louise Clear, two sons and a daughter. His parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday February 19, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1327 N. Miranda.
