Leon R. Lunsford peacefully passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021. He was 88 years old and was a life-long resident of Anthony, NM. He was married to Lois "Faye" for 51 years. He worked for Bell Telephone Company prior to serving in the military in April 1953. Leon R. Lunsford peacefully passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021. He was 88 years old and was a life-long resident of Anthony, NM. He was married to Lois "Faye" for 51 years. He worked for Bell Telephone Company prior to serving in the military in April 1953. He was released from active military service in April 1955 and was transferred to Army Reserves to complete eight years of service. During this time, Leon worked for Bell Telephone Co. (CenturyLink) as a lineman and retired as Supervisor. He was an active member and supporter of the Anthony Assembly of God Church for many years. He was also the last existing member of his family. He is survived by sons Dennis and wife Cynthia of Anthony, NM, and Bryan and wife Nancy of Albuquerque, NM. He has nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, The family would like to give special thanks to Sunny's Living elder care provider located in Canutillo, Texas. Service Information
