Leroy Grizzell, 64 of Las Cruces, NM passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2008 in Lincoln, NM. He was born August 7, 1943 to Lee Roy and Della Grizzell in Ringgold, Texas. Leroy Grizzell, 64 of Las Cruces, NM passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2008 in Lincoln, NM. He was born August 7, 1943 to Lee Roy and Della Grizzell in Ringgold, Texas. He was a graduate of Hobbs High School, and graduated with a computer science and an MBA from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. He worked for Physical Science Laboratory in White Sand Missile Range and had retired after 34 years at the Desert Ship. Leroy was an active member of the "Friends of Fort Selden", also the "First Texas Light Artillery Historical Reenactors". Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Rosalind Auld Grizzell; children, Annette, Steven, and Billy Grizzell all of Las Cruces, NM; his mother, Della Grizzell of Hobbs, NM; sister, Carol Hopper and husband Dewey of Eunice, NM; brothers in law, Dick Auld and wife Sherry of Lubbock, TX; Bob Auld and wife Jan of Hobbs, NM and Larry Auld and wife Janene of Arlington, TX. Many nieces and nephews also survive Leroy. Leroy was preceded in death by his father, Lee Roy Grizzell, and his brother, Carl Grizzell. Memorial Funeral Services for Leroy will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1800 S. Locust St. Las Cruces, NM.
