Leroy Roach

Leroy Roach age 93 sunrise October 13, 1918 sunset February 17, 2012. Leroy was born in Camden, South Carolina. He relocated to Paterson, New Jersey in his early twenties, where he met and later married his loving wife the late Deborah Helen Hooper-Roach. Of that union they had four children Leona Patricia Roach-Davis of NM, Gwendolyn Elaine Roach-Jenkins of Las Cruces, NM and he was preceded into eternal rest by his two sons Lee Edward "Butch" Roach and Ronald Roach. Mr. Roach worked for the New Jersey Transit Authority as a Bus operator retiring after many years of service. He also honorably served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Roach enjoyed playing golf and in his younger days was an excellent pinnacle player. Leroy was a member of Greater St. John Church of God in Christ. He leaves to cherish his memory thirteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives, friends and neighbors who will deeply miss him. Leroy's Wake will be from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm on Tuesday February 21, 2012 at Greater St. John Church of God in Christ, 1615 N. Mesquite St. Las Cruces, NM. The funeral service wil follow immediately. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life and home going. Officiating will be Elder Cleo Bell. Immediately following the celebration, he will be interred at his final resting place next to his loving wife at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
