Lisa Jacquez Carrera, 53, passed to the loving embrace of our Lord Jesus Christ on June 4, 2014 in Las Cruces, New Mexico after a heroic battle with cancer that lasted several years. Lisa was born in El Paso, Texas on February 10, 1961 to Martin and Elva Guerrero. Lisa traveled the world as a child residing in Tripoli, Libya and Whittlebury, England before arriving in Las Cruces in 1975. She attended Las Cruces High School and eventually earned her Associates degree from New Mexico State University. Lisa worked at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces for 20 years as a Dietician Supervisor where she enjoyed the love and friendship of many friends and colleagues. On October 24, 1992 Lisa married her soul mate and husband Jesse Carrera. Lisa enjoyed many hobbies including baking, making cards for family and friends, calligraphy and most of all shopping with her mother. Lisa's faith in our Lord Jesus Christ sustained her through many years of doctor's visits, hospital stays and surgeries. Lisa is survived by her devoted and loving husband Jesse Carrera, her daughter Summer Lee Carrera, her pudgy chihuahua dog Hijitos, her mother Elva Jacques Guerrero, her father Martin Rios Guerrero, her mother-in-law Jane Carrera, and her brothers Martin Ross Guerrero (wife Lourdes) and Pablo Jacques Guerrero (fianc
